/ It is the brainchild of Michael and Laura Shevlin / Michael comes up with the concepts and visuals and Laura makes sure the ideas work, the briefs are followed and that the visuals make design sense /

/ a husband and wife team sounds like a disaster waiting to happen but it does actually work because of Michael and Laura’s complementary strengths / That’s the theory anyway /

/ why.we are great

/ Without sounding corny, what really makes us different are the compatible skills we us to create solutions that are that bit different / Laura hails from the communications and public relations industry / Michael has a background in print, television, 3D animation and compositing /

This mesh of skills means that we can design annual reports, promotional materials and corporate identity as well as motion graphics, animated sequences and audiovisual presentations / design, communication, animation, compositing – we believe that we are known in the trade as a one-stop-shop

/why.sandbox?

/ it stems from when Michael was in art school and one of his lecturers advised that when a designer is struggling with an idea, or trying to solve a visual problem, sometimes it is best to go back-to-basics, go back to the creative ‘sandbox’ and play a bit /

This has shaped the design process that Sandbox follows. We believe that the ideal solutions to every brief is rooted in solid ideas and sound creative concepts that tie a solution together. We don’t believe in just making pretty pictures.

Though, if you want pretty pictures we can do that too.
